Abstract
The invention relates to a method for producing seamlessly manufactured vehicle components, in particular vehicle flaps, having a continuous support of a thermoplastic plastics material, which vehicle components have at least one transparent region that is an integral part of the support.
Claims15
A seamless one piece vehicle component, comprising at least one continuous support made of a thermoplastic plastics material, wherein the component has at least one transparent region.
Method for producing a vehicle component, comprising:
- optional insertion of a film into an injection moulding mould, closing the mould
- injection of support and subsequent cooling to <145° C. component temperature
- rotation of cavity of the mould into next position in order to create a gap for injection of a black edge
- injection of the black edge and subsequent cooling to <145° C. component temperature
- demoulding
- cooling of component to room temperature
- optional flood coating of the component with a primer, evaporation of solvent
- curing/drying of the primer at from 20° C. to 200° C., optionally from 40° C. to 130° C.
- cooling to room temperature
- coating with top coat
- evaporation of the solvent
- curing/drying of the top coat at from 20° C. to 200° C., optionally from 40° C. to 130° C.
- cooling to room temperature
- introduction of adhesive between rib elements
- embedding of a stiffening element (metal) into the adhesive
- curing the adhesive.
