Abstract
This application features methods of treating (e.g., reducing, ameliorating, or preventing) skin damage (e.g., induced by UVB) by decreasing the level or activity of VEGF-A, e.g., in the skin, of a subject.
Claims15
A method of inhibiting ultraviolet B (UVB)-induced skin damage in a subject, the method comprising
- topically, intramuscularly, intraperitoneally, subcutaneously, or intravenously administering to a subject prior to or during UVB light exposure a composition comprising a VEGF-C agonist in an amount sufficient to promote lymphatic function in the skin of the subject, wherein the promotion of lymphatic function in the skin of the subject inhibits UVB-induced skin damage in the subject.
