Quaternary ammonium surfactants

A compound having the formula:

• wherein
• R1 is R12-substituted or unsubstituted C8-C150 alkyl, R6-substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, R6-substituted or unsubstituted aryl or R6-substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl;
• R6 is R7-substituted or unsubstituted C1-C50 alkyl, R7-substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, R7-substituted or unsubstituted aryl or R7-substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl;
• R7 is R8-substituted or unsubstituted C1-C50 alkyl, R8-substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, R8-substituted or unsubstituted aryl or R8-substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl;
• R8 is R9-substituted or unsubstituted C1-C50 alkyl, R9-substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, R9-substituted or unsubstituted aryl or R9-substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl;
• R9 is R10-substituted or unsubstituted C1-C50 alkyl, R10-substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, R10-substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, R10-substituted or unsubstituted aryl or R10-substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl;
• R10 is R11-substituted or unsubstituted C1-C50 alkyl, R11-substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkyl, R11-substituted or unsubstituted aryl or R11-substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl;
• R11 is unsubstituted C1-C50 alkyl, unsubstituted heteroalkyl, unsubstituted aryl or unsubstituted cycloalkyl;
• R12 is unsubstituted heteroalkyl, unsubstituted aryl or unsubstituted cycloalkyl;
• R2, R3, and R4 are independently unsubstituted alkyl, unsubstituted cycloalkyl, unsubstituted aryl, —OR13, —C(O)OR13, or —S(O)mR13;
• R13 is hydrogen, unsubstituted alkyl or unsubstituted cycloalkyl;
• m is 3 or 4;
• R5 is independently hydrogen or unsubstituted C1-C6 alkyl;
• L1, L2, L3, and L4 are independently a bond, substituted or unsubstituted alkylene, substituted or unsubstituted heteroalkylene, substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkylene, or substituted or unsubstituted arylene;
• and
• n is an integer from 10 to 210.
