An isolated polypeptide, comprising an amino acid sequence that is at least 95% identical to the sequence of SEQ ID NO:3, the polypeptide having four conserved laccase copper binding sites, wherein the polypeptide exhibits laccase enzymatic activity.
An isolated nucleic acid, comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding a polypeptide that has an amino acid sequence that is at least 95% identical to the sequence of SEQ ID NO:3, the polypeptide having four conserved laccase copper binding sites, wherein the polypeptide exhibits laccase enzymatic activity.
