Abstract
The present invention relates to isolated polypeptides having cellobiohydrolase activity and isolated polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides. The invention also relates to nucleic acid constructs, vectors, and host cells comprising the polynucleotides as well as methods of producing and using the polypeptides.
Claims20
An isolated polypeptide having cellobiohydrolase activity selected from the group consisting of:
- (a) a polypeptide having at least 90% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:
- 2 or a polypeptide having at least 80% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:
- 4;
- (b) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide having at least 90% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 1 or the cDNA sequence thereof or a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide having at least 80% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 3 or the genomic DNA sequence thereof;
- (c) a variant comprising a substitution, deletion, and/or insertion of one or more (several) amino acids of the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:
- 2 or of SEQ ID NO:
- 4;
- and
- (d) a fragment of the polypeptide of (a), (b), or (c) that has cellobiohydrolase activity.

- 2 or a catalytic domain having at least 80% sequence identity to the catalytic domain of SEQ ID NO:
- 4;
- (b) a catalytic domain encoded by a polynucleotide having at least 90% sequence identity to the catalytic domain coding sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 1 or a catalytic domain encoded by a polynucleotide having at least 80% sequence identity to the catalytic domain coding sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 3;
- (c) a variant of a catalytic domain comprising a substitution, deletion, and/or insertion of one or more (several) amino acids of the catalytic domain of SEQ ID NO:
- 2 or of SEQ ID NO:
- 4;
