Method for iterative image reconstruction for bi-modal ct data

A method for the reconstruction of image data of an examination object from measurement data, wherein

• the measurement data for a relative rotational movement between a radiation source of a computed tomography system and the examination object were recorded, the method comprising:
• reconstructing first image data with a first image characteristic and second image data with a second image characteristic from the measurement data, a signal-to-noise ratio of the second image characteristic being relatively enhanced as compared to the first image characteristic;
• and
• calculating enhanced image data using the first and the second image data and using an iterative algorithm, wherein in the iterative algorithm
• a low pass is applied to a difference between the first image data and image data of an iteration cycle, and
• a high pass is applied to a difference between the second image data and the image data of the iteration cycle.
