System for controlling a telecommunication network node, method and computer program therefor

System (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the first unit (14) and the second unit (16) include a common unit, here referred to as front end unit (15), configured for

• sending information (14i) relating to the status of the telecommunication network node (12);
• receiving information (16i) for controlling the telecommunication network node (12);
• and
• maintaining session information for supporting the interaction between the frond end unit (15) and an external management node (20).

System (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the first unit (14) includes at least one of

• means for converting the information (14i) relating to the status of the telecommunication network node (12) into audio data prior to sending it;
• means for converting the information (14i) relating to the status of the telecommunication network node (12) into still image data prior to sending it;
• and
• means for converting the information (14i) relating to the status of the telecommunication network node (12) into video data prior to sending it;

System (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the second unit (16) includes at least one of

• means for converting the received information (16i) from an audio data form into commands understandable by the management unit (18);
• means for converting the received information (16i) from a still image data form into commands understandable by the management unit (18);
• and
• means for converting the received information (16i) from a video data form into commands understandable by the management unit (18).

Method of controlling a telecommunication network node (12), including:

• a sending procedure (s20) for sending, by a first unit (14), information (14i) relating to the status of the telecommunication network node (12);
• a receiving procedure (s22) for receiving, by a second unit (16), information (16i) for controlling the telecommunication network node (12);
• and
• a controlling procedure (s24) for controlling, by a management unit (18) of the telecommunication network node (12) wherein the management unit (18) is connected with the second unit (16), the telecommunication network node (12) according to the information (16i) received during the receiving procedure (s22);
• wherein the form of at least one of the information (14i) sent during the sending procedure (s20) and the information (16i) received during the receiving procedure (s22) either does not include, or includes more than, only text.
