Abstract
A control circuit for a DC-DC converter includes: an output control circuit configured to control an output voltage of a DC-DC converter according to a reference voltage; a reference control circuit configured to control the reference voltage according to an open-circuit voltage of an external power supply coupled to the DC-DC converter; a limiting circuit configured to limit a current flowing from DC-DC converter to an external load; and a stopping control circuit configured to stop operation of the limiting circuit until the reference voltage reaches a given value.
Claims10
A control circuit for a DC-DC converter, comprising:
- an output control circuit configured to control an output voltage of the DC-DC converter according to a reference voltage;
- a reference control circuit configured to control the reference voltage according to an open-circuit voltage of an external power supply coupled to the DC-DC converter;
- a limiting circuit configured to limit a current flowing from the DC-DC converter to an external load;
- and
- a stopping control circuit configured to stop operation of the limiting circuit until the reference voltage reaches a given value.
A DC-DC converter comprising:
- a control circuit for the DC-DC converter including:
- an output control circuit configured to control an output voltage of the DC-DC converter according to a reference voltage;
- a reference control circuit configured to control the reference voltage according to an open-circuit voltage of an external power supply coupled to the DC-DC converter;
- a limiting circuit configured to limit a current flowing from the DC-DC converter to an external load;
- and
- a stopping control circuit configured to stop operation of the limiting circuit until the reference voltage reaches a given value;
- and
- at least one switching element;
- wherein the control circuit for the DC-DC converter generates the output voltage by providing on/off-control for the at least one switching element.
A control method of a DC-DC converter, comprising:
- controlling an output voltage of the DC-DC converter according to a reference voltage;
- controlling the reference voltage according to an open-circuit voltage of an external power supply coupled to the DC-DC converter;
- and
- stopping operation of a limiting circuit until the reference voltage reaches a given value, the limiting circuit limiting a current flowing from DC-DC converter to an external load.
