## Abstract

A method for the connection of moulded parts, wherein a locking collar pin with locking grooves or with an external thread, is driven through the moulded parts and subsequently a locking collar is locked together with at least some of the locking grooves, or with threaded sections of the locking collar pin, by the application of radial pressure, or by means of a screwing operation. A connecting system with a locking ring pin, which has a punching section for purposes of punching through the moulded parts, and also locking grooves for purposes of active engagement with a locking ring; the latter extends over at least two adjacent locking grooves in the axial direction, or over at least two adjacent threads in the axial direction.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for the joining of moulded parts, comprising the steps:
punching a locking collar pin through the moulded parts, the locking collar pin having one of locking grooves and an external thread on a portion exposed after the locking collar pin has been punched through the moulded parts,
subsequently, locking a locking collar on the exposed portion by one of:
applying radial pressure with at least two locking grooves on the locking collar engaging locking grooves on the locking collar pin, and
threading at least two threads of the locking collar onto the external thread of the locking collar pin.

### Claim 2

A connecting system for the joining of moulded parts, with a locking collar pin to be punched through the moulded parts, and with a locking collar to be locked on the locking collar pin, wherein the locking collar pin comprises:
a punching section and
one of a multiplicity of locking grooves and an external thread, the locking grooves or external thread arranged to engage with the locking collar, and
wherein the locking collar extends over at least two adjacent locking rings in an axial direction, or over at least two adjacent threads in the axial direction.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The connecting system in accordance with claim 2, wherein the locking collar has an internal thread.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The connecting system in accordance with claim 2, wherein the locking collar has a cutting edge.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The connecting system in accordance with claim 4, wherein the cutting edge is formed on a shaping projection on an end face of the locking collar.

### Claim 6 (depends on 2)

The connecting system in accordance with claim 2, wherein a cutting ring manufactured discretely from the locking collar is provided with a cutting edge.

### Claim 7 (depends on 2)

The connecting system in accordance with claim 2, wherein a shaping ring manufactured discretely from the locking collar is provided with an integrated cutting edge.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

A connecting system for the joining of moulded parts, in accordance with the method of claim 1, including a locking collar pin to be punched through the moulded parts, and with a locking collar to be locked on the locking collar pin, wherein the locking collar pin comprises:
a punching section and
one of a multiplicity of locking grooves and an external thread, the locking grooves or external thread arranged to engage with the locking collar, and
wherein the locking collar extends over at least two adjacent ones of the locking rings in the axial direction, or over at least two adjacent thread sections in the axial direction.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The connecting system in accordance with claim 8, wherein the locking collar has an internal thread.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The connecting system in accordance with claim 8, wherein the locking collar has a cutting edge.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The connecting system in accordance with claim 10, wherein the cutting edge is formed on a shaping projection on an end face of the locking collar.

### Claim 12 (depends on 8)

The connecting system in accordance with claim 8, wherein a cutting ring manufactured discretely from the locking collar is provided with a cutting edge.

### Claim 13 (depends on 8)

The connecting system in accordance with claim 8, wherein a shaping ring manufactured discretely from the locking collar is provided with an integrated cutting edge.
