Abstract
A gas cell to be filled with alkali metal atoms includes wall surfaces formed using a compound having polar groups or a material containing the compound, a first coating layer as a coating layer that coats the inner walls, formed using first molecules having functional groups to be chemically bonded to the polar groups and non-polar groups, and a second coating layer formed using non-polar second molecules on the first coating layer.
Claims6
A gas cell to be filled with alkali metal atoms comprising:
- inner wall surfaces formed using a compound having polar groups or a material containing the compound;
- a first coating layer as a coating layer that coats the inner walls, formed using first molecules having functional groups to be chemically bonded to the polar groups and non-polar groups;
- and
- a second coating layer formed using non-polar second molecules on the first coating layer.
A coating method of coating inner walls of a gas cell to be filled with alkali metal atoms, the method comprising:
- forming a coating layer by coating the inner walls formed using a compound having polar groups or a material containing the compound with first molecules having functional groups to be chemically bonded to the polar groups and non-polar groups;
- and
- forming a coating layer by coating the coating layer with non-polar second molecules.
