Abstract
An advanced system for the installation of wire-climbing lifting devices on hollow towers is presented. This system allows two positions easily alternated by the operator of the installation: a resting position, in which the wires (5) are hidden inside the tower (1) and a maintaining position in which wires (5) are safely set up outside the tower (1) to allow a lifting device climbing on them. At the resting position the wire terminals are at ground level so the operators are able to inspect the conditions of them before their use and the safety of the system is improved.
Claims2
Advanced system to improve the installation of wire-climbing lifting devices on hollow towers which is designed for two different positions which are:
- the resting position, in which the elements are kept inside the tower (1) while they are not being used, and the maintenance position, in which the wires are outside the tower, allowing using the climbing lifting device;
- and is characterized in that it comprises fixed parts including a turning roll (2), in the inside of the lower part of the tower (1), which moves a rope (3) linked to it when is activated, a pass-through device (7) which is at the outside of the top of the tower (1) and a structural support (6) placed near the pass-through device at the outside of the tower (6);
- and
- the system comprises mobile elements including wires (5), for the lifting device to climb, which have wire terminals (4) in one of their ends, linked to the rope (3), and a counterweight (8) in the other end;
- in the resting position the rope (3) is completely rolled around the turning roll (2), the wire terminals (4) are at the ground level and the counterweight (8) is in contact with the bottom part of the structural support (6), and at the maintenance position the rope (3) is unrolled from the turning roll (2) and the wire terminals (4) are in contact with the top surface of the structural support (6) and the counterweight is at the ground level and in said position the lifting device is attached to the wires.
