Abstract
The invention provides a computer-based method of managing electronic transactions. A plurality of consumer accounts is stored in a data store, each consumer account having a first consumer account identifier. A rule is stored in association the consumer account. A charge request is received over a network interface device, the charge request including a charge amount and a second consumer account identifier. A selected one of the consumer accounts is identified by associating one of the first consumer account identifiers with the second consumer account identifier. The rule of the selected consumer account is retrieved in response to receiving the charge request and an action is executed based on the rule.
Claims26
A computer system for managing electronic transactions, comprising:
- a server computer system including:
- a processor;
- a computer-readable medium connected to the processor;
- a network interface device connected to the processor;
- and
- a set of instructions on the computer-readable medium, the set of instructions being executable by the processor and including:
- a data store;
- a plurality of consumer accounts stored in the data store, each consumer account having a first consumer account identifier;
- a rule stored in association the consumer account;
- a communication and routing module that receives a charge request over the network interface device, the charge request including an charge amount and a second consumer account identifier and identifies a selected one of the consumer accounts by associating one of the first consumer account identifiers with the second consumer account identifier;
- a rule application engine that retrieves the rule of the selected consumer account in response to receiving the charge request, and executes an action based on the rule.
A computer-based method of managing electronic transactions, comprising:
- storing, with a processor, a plurality of consumer accounts in a data store, each consumer account having a first consumer account identifier;
- storing a rule in association the consumer account;
- receiving, with the processor, a charge request over the network interface device, the charge request including an charge amount and a second consumer account identifier;
- identifying, with the processor, a selected one of the consumer accounts by associating one of the first consumer account identifiers with the second consumer account identifier;
- retrieving, with the processor, the rule of the selected consumer account in response to receiving the charge request;
- and
- executing, with the processor, an action based on the rule.
