Methods and devices for transcatheter cerclage annuloplasty

A target and capture device for transcatheter cerclage annuloplasty comprising:

• an expandable and collapsible mesh configured so as to conform to the curvature of the right ventricle when in its expanded state and configured so as to be insertable through a catheter in a patient's vasculature when collapsed;
• and
• the expandable and collapsible mesh having an imageable target therein.

A kit for repairing a valve in a patient using transcatheter cerclage annuloplasty comprising:

• a cerclage traversal catheter system for introducing a tensioning system through a cerclage trajectory;
• and
• a target and capture device comprising (a) an expandable and collapsible mesh configured so as to conform to the curvature of the right ventricle when in its expanded state, having a plurality of openings therein, and having an imageable target therein or (b) a shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, a loop at the distal end of the shaft, the loop being fabricated of a material and being configured so as to conform to the curvature of the right ventricle, and the loop being imageable.
