Abstract
User interfaces facilitate user interaction with virtual representations of anatomical structures that are displayed on computing systems. The user interfaces demonstrably reflect relative impacts on the anatomical structures based on corresponding conditions and treatments.
Claims20
A method for using an interactive computer interface to dynamically reflect how one or more user-selectable conditions and severity of those conditions can affect a user's vision, the method comprising:
- receiving user input at a computing device that identifies a condition that can affect vision;
- using a camera associated with the computing device to capture one or more image;
- displaying the one or more image that is captured by the computing device, as captured, such that the one or more image is displayed in a manner that reflects how the one or more image would generally appear to a user when vision of the user is not yet affected by the identified condition;
- displaying an interface control that is operable to receive user input for modifying a severity of the condition;
- receiving user input at the interface control that selects a severity of the condition;
- and
- modifying the one or more image that is captured dynamically in response to the selected severity to reflect an impact of the condition at the selected severity, the altered version of the one or more image being displayed in such a manner as to reflect how the one or more image would appear to the user if the user's vision was affected by the condition at the selected severity.
A computing system comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- memory having stored computer-executable instructions which, when executed, implement a method for using an interactive computer interface to dynamically reflect how one or more user-selectable conditions and severity of those conditions can affect a user's vision, wherein the method includes:
- receiving user input at the computing system that identifies a condition that can affect vision;
- using a camera associated with the computing system to capture one or more image;
- displaying the one or more image that is captured by the computing system on a display screen of the computing system, such that the one or more image is displayed in a manner that reflects how the one or more image would generally appear to a user when vision of the user is not yet affected by the identified condition;
- displaying an interface control that is operable to receive user input for modifying a severity of the condition;
- receiving user input at the interface control that selects a severity of the condition;
- and
- modifying the one or more image that is captured dynamically in response to the selected severity to reflect an impact of the condition at the selected severity, the altered version of the one or more image being displayed in such a manner as to reflect how the one or more image would appear to the user if the user's vision was affected by the condition at the selected severity.
A computer program product comprising one or more recordable-type storage device having stored computer-executable instructions which, when executed by at least one computing processor, implement a method for using an interactive computer interface to dynamically reflect how one or more user-selectable conditions and severity of those conditions can affect a user's vision, wherein the method includes:
