A pharmaceutical composition for alleviating symptoms of upper respiratory and oral-pharyngeal congestion in a subject, the composition comprising a first active ingredient selected from the group consisting of chlophedianol hydrochloride, chlorcyclizine hydrochloride, thonzylamine hydrochloride and dextromethorphan hydrogen bromide.
