Abstract
The present invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions having improved stability.
Claims47
A liquid composition comprising carbetocin or a pharmaceutically active salt thereof;
- wherein the pH of the composition is between 5.0 to 6.0.
A liquid composition comprising:
- a pharmaceutically active compound or salt thereof;
- and an anti-oxidant;
- and having a pH of between 5.0 to 6.0.
A kit of parts comprising:
- a liquid pharmaceutical composition comprising carbetocin or a pharmaceutically active salt thereof wherein the pH of the composition is from 5.0 to 6.0;
- and a container for the composition, and optionally having separate injection means.
A liquid composition comprising:
- a pharmaceutically active compound according to formula (II):
- or pharmaceutically acceptable) salt thereof;
- wherein the pH of the composition is from 5.0 to 6.0.
A method of treatment or prevention of compromised lactation conditions, labour induction impairment, uterine atony conditions, excessive bleeding, inflammation, pain, abdominal pain, back pain, male and female sexual dysfunction, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), constipation, gastrointestinal obstruction, autism, stress, anxiety, depression, anxiety disorder, surgical blood loss, post-partum haemorrhage, wound healing, infection, mastitis, placenta delivery impairment, osteoporosis, and for the diagnosis of cancer and placental insufficiency, comprising:
- administration to a patient in need thereof a liquid pharmaceutical composition which comprises administering a patient in need of such treatment a pharmaceutical compound according to formula (I) or (II) as defined above or a pharmaceutically active salt thereof;
- wherein the pH of the composition is between 5.1 to 6.0.
A kit comprising:
- a liquid pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically active compound according to formula (II):
- or a pharmaceutically active salt thereof wherein the pH of the composition is from 5.0 to 6.0;
- and a container for the composition.
A kit comprising:
- a liquid pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically active compound (e.g. carbetocin, a compound of formula (I) or (II) above) or salt thereof and optionally an anti-oxidant, wherein the pH of the composition is from 5.0 to 6.0;
- and a container for the composition.
