A method for treating central nervous system (CNS) tumors and neuroendocrine tumors, comprising the administration to a patients in a need thereof of a pharmaceutically effective amount of a composition comprising:
- at least one protein belonging to the bHLH family, chosen among NGN2, ASCL1, and NEUROD1 and/or
- at least a nucleic acid molecule coding for said bHLH protein.
