Methods and systems for betting with pari-mutuel payouts

A method of playing a card game comprising the steps of:

• (a) dealing players a personal card from a traditional deck associated only with each respective player;
• (b) accepting wagering related to a prediction of a community card from a community deck;
• (c) dealing a card from a community deck;
• (d) determining a card winner based upon a combination of each players personal card and the community card;
• and
• (e) determining a chance winner based upon each player's prediction of the community card.

A method of playing a card game on a server over a distributed computing network comprising the steps of:

• a) dealing multiple players;
• b) presenting to all of the players a number of players at each round of the card game, a total amount wagered, and a payout to a winner;
• c) accessing the card by the network so that the players can interact with the card game;
• d) dealing a series of community cards which is comprised of a single separate virtual deck used by the players in aggregate;
• e) dealing each player a personal ‘hole’ card from a virtual deck associated with each individual player to accept a prediction for a next card and immediately prior to such prediction, the respective player must pay a set price;
• f) collecting and presenting the predictions before and/or after each community card is revealed;
• g) determining a card winner based upon a combination of each players personal ‘hole’ card and the community cards;
• h) awarding bonus points for predefined card combinations;
• and
• i) including the bonus points in a final scoring of each hand.

A pseudo-lottery game executed in a distributed computing network having a server and client computers comprising:

• the client computers collecting fees from players to play;
• the server creating a pool from the fees;
• the client computers accepting predictions from the players for each number after the game has started;
• the server assigning a score for each player for a plurality of rounds in the game;
• wherein at an end of a predetermined number of rounds, the server selects a ‘natural’ winner having a perfect score and the server selects a high score winner based upon total points accumulated.
