Abstract
A system and method for composing an audio message are disclosed, which may include a memory for storing control parameters identifying respective preconfigured audio segments, the preconfigured audio segments being emotones; a recorder for enabling a user of the recording system to introduce user voice input into an audio message; and command input means for enabling the user of the recording system to selectively add user voice input and emotones into the audio message.
Claims40
A method for transmitting a voice message comprising:
- composing at least a portion of a voice message by a user using a first mobile device;
- incorporating control data identifying one or more preconfigured audio segments into the voice message at the first mobile device;
- and
- sending the voice message from the first mobile device to a voice message server (VMS).
A communication network, comprising:
- a voice message server (VMS) including data storage equipment operable to store a catalog of prerecorded emotones identified by respective control parameters;
- a plurality of mobile devices in communication with the VMS, the mobile devices being operable to transmit voice messages to each other via the VMS, the transmitted voice messages including at least one control data sequence identifying at least one user-selected prerecorded emotone of said catalog of emotones.
An audio message composition device, comprising:
- a memory for storing control parameters identifying respective preconfigured audio segments, the preconfigured audio segments being emotones;
- a recorder for enabling a user of the recording system to introduce user voice input into an audio message;
- and
- command input means enabling the user of the recording system to selectively add user voice input and emotones into said audio message.
A server system comprising:
- a plurality of server computers distributed over a communication network;
- a data storage system in communication with the server computers, the data storage system including a plurality of data storage devices;
- wherein the data storage system is operable to store a plurality of preconfigured audio segments associated with a plurality of respective control parameters.
A method for composing a multimedia message, comprising:
- recording at least one user voice segment by a first communication device;
- storing the recorded voice segment in an audio message file;
- and
- incorporating at least one control parameter indicative of at least one respective preconfigured audio segment into the audio message file.
