Radio apparatus

A radio apparatus configured to send or receive data with a communication partner after performing connection processing, the radio apparatus comprising:

• a radio unit configured to transmit and receive the data;
• a timer configured to count a first measurement time from completion of the connection processing to transmission or reception of the data;
• a control unit configured to establish a first mode if the first measurement time is shorter than a first time T1, and establish a second mode if the first measurement time is longer than or equal to the first time T1;
• and
• a power control unit configured to control power to be supplied to the radio unit if the first mode is set and next data is not received even if a second time T2 elapsed from transmission or reception of the data by the radio unit, and control power to be supplied to the radio unit if the second mode is set and next data is not received even if a third time T3 (T3>T2) elapsed from reception of the data by the radio unit, wherein
• the radio unit makes a transition to a sleep mode as a result of a power control by the power control unit.
