Abstract
The present invention discloses a system for document security control to improve the security of document data, and the system comprises: an application, embedded in a machine readable medium, which performs a security control operation on abstract unstructured information by issuing an instruction to a platform software; the platform software, embedded in a machine readable medium, which accepts the instruction from the application and performs the security control operation on storage data corresponding to the abstract unstructured information; wherein, said abstract unstructured information are independent of a way in which said storage data are stored.
Claims20
A method running on a computing device for document security control, comprising:
- modeling appearance information of a document as an abstract document;
- by a platform software, holding storage data of the document in one of the formats corresponding to the abstract document;
- by an application, issuing an instruction describing a security control operation on the abstract document to the platform software for performing the corresponding security control operation on the storage data held by the platform software, wherein the instruction is independent of the formats of the storage data corresponding to the abstract document;
- by the platform software, accepting the instruction from the application software and performing the corresponding security control operation on the storage data held by the platform software.
A machine readable storage medium having instructions stored thereon that when executed cause a system to:
- model appearance information of a document as an abstract document;
- holding storage data of the document in one of the formats corresponding to the abstract document;
- accept an instruction which describes a security control operation on the abstract document from an application, wherein the instruction is independent of the format of the storage data corresponding to the abstract document ;
- perform the corresponding security control operation on the storage data corresponding to the abstract document according to the accepted instruction.
A system running on a computing device for document security control, comprising:
- an application, embedded in a machine readable medium, which performs a security control operation on content of a document by issuing an instruction describing the security control operation on an abstract document to a platform software, wherein the abstract document is obtained by modeling appearance information of the document and is corresponding to the storage data in the different formats having the same visual appearance, and the instruction is independent of formats of storage data corresponding to the abstract document;
- the platform software, embedded in a machine readable medium, which holds storage data of the document in one of the formats corresponding to the abstract document, accepts the instruction from the application and performs the corresponding security control operation on the storage data corresponding to the abstract document.
