Abstract
Method for extracting data from a vision database (2) in order to form a simulation database (3), wherein in the vision database (2), graphic data of a plurality of individual objects in the form of polygons and textures assigned to the polygons are entered, and wherein in the simulation database (2) object data of the individual objects are entered, with the following steps: a) definition of object classes by classification of the individual objects described by the graphic data in the vision database (2), b) assignment of the textures to the object classes, c) generation of object data in the simulation database (3) by assignment of polygons to individual objects based on the object class assigned to the polygons via their texture.

A method for extraction of data from a vision database (2) for forming a simulation database (3), wherein in the vision database (2), graphic data of a plurality of individual objects (9-13) in the form of polygons and textures associated with the polygons are entered, and wherein in the simulation database (3) object data of the individual objects (9-13) are entered, comprising the following steps:
- a) defining object classes by classification of the individual objects (9-13) described by the graphic data in the vision database (2);
- b) associating the textures to the object classes;
- c) generating object data in the simulation database (3) by association of polygons to individual objects (9-13) based on the object class associated to the polygon via its texture.
The method according to claim 1, wherein physical properties of the object classes are defined.
The method according to claim 1, wherein method steps a) and b) are performed manually and/or method step c) is performed automatically.
The method according to claim 1, wherein the association of a texture to an object class is made based on a designation of the texture, in particular of a file name.
The method according to claim 1, wherein depending on the object class, an algorithm (50, 60, 70, 80) is selected for generating the object data in the simulation database (3).
The method according to claim 1, wherein in the vision database (2), the graphic data in the form of polygon groupings (17) and attributes, in the form of grouping designations, associated with the polygon groupings are entered and wherein the attributes are associated with the object classes.
The method according to claim 1, wherein in the simulation database (3) object data from network objects (12), which include network paths (103-108), wherein multiple polygons, which are associated with a common network object class, are associated based on the proximity relationship of the network objects (12).
The method according to claim 1, wherein object data from land area objects are entered into the simulation database (3).
The method according to claim 1, wherein the simulation database (3) has the structure of a quadtree.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
