Reputation management systems and methods

A method comprising:

• receiving a first picture from a first user, the first picture associated with an in-person transaction between the first user and a second user, the transaction having an associated item;
• receiving a second picture from a second user, the second picture associated with the transaction;
• determining, using one or more processors, whether both the first picture and the second picture identify the item;
• determining, using one or more processors, whether both the first picture and the second picture were taken at a similar time;
• responsive to determining that the first picture and the second picture identify the item and were taken at a similar time:
• requesting feedback from the first user associated with the second user's behavior in the transaction;
• receiving transaction feedback from the first user;
• and
• updating a reputation score associated with the second user based on the received transaction feedback.

An apparatus comprising:

• a communication module configured to receive a first picture from a first user and a second picture from a second user, the first picture and the second picture associated with an in-person transaction between the first user and the second user, the in-person transaction having an associated item;
• a transaction verification module configured to determine whether both the first picture and the second picture identify the item, determine whether both the first picture and the second picture were taken at a similar geographic location, and determine whether both the first picture and the second picture were taken at a similar time;
• and
• a feedback manager, responsive to verification of the first picture and second picture by the transaction verification module, configured to receive transaction feedback from the first user relating to the second user's behavior during the transaction and update a reputation score associated with the second user based on the received transaction feedback.
