Abstract
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for customizing collections of products. A first user selects a subset of products for customization, and subsequently causes those products to be customized. The first user may place limitations on further customization of the subset of products. A second user associated with the customized products further customizes those products. The further customization may be restricted by the limitations imposed by the first user.
Claims35
A method of pre-customizing products, comprising:
- providing digital representations of a plurality of products available for selection by a first user;
- receiving a selection of a subset of the plurality of products from the first user, the subset including at least one of the plurality of products;
- customizing the subset of the plurality of products in response to an input by the first user;
- and
- providing digital representations of the subset of the plurality of products for further customization by at least one second user different than the first user.
A method of customizing pre-customized products, comprising:
- providing digital representations of a subset of a plurality of products, wherein the subset has previously been customized by a first user;
- receiving a selection of at least one product of the subset from a at least one second user;
- and
- customizing the selected products in response to an input by the at least one second user.
A system for customizing a collection of products, the system comprising:
- a group customization server and an individual customization server;
- the group customization server including a processor and a tangible non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, the storage medium including instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the group customization server to perform operations including:
- communicating digital representations of a plurality of products to a first electronic computing device for selection by a first user;
- receiving a selection of a subset of the plurality of products from the first user via the first electronic computing device, the subset including at least one of the plurality of products;
- customizing the subset of the plurality of products in response to an input by the first user;
- and
- communicating digital representations of the subset of the plurality of products to the individual customization server;
- the individual customization server including a processor and a tangible non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, the storage medium including instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the individual customization server to perform operations including:
- communicating digital representations of the received subset to a second electronic computing device associated with a second user different from the first user;
- receiving a selection of at least one product of the subset from the second user via the second electronic computing device;
- and
- customizing the selected products in response to an input by the second user.
A computer-implemented method of pre-customizing products, comprising:
- providing digital representations of a plurality of products available for selection by a first user;
- receiving a selection of a subset of the plurality of products from the first user, the subset including at least one of the plurality of products;
- customizing the subset of the plurality of products in response to an input by the first user;
- and
- providing digital representations of the subset of the plurality of products for further customization by at least one second user different than the first user.
A method of customizing pre-customized products, comprising:
- providing digital representations of a subset of a plurality of products, wherein the subset has previously been customized by:
- providing digital representations of a plurality of products available for selection by a first user;
- receiving a selection of a subset of the plurality of products from the first user, the subset including at least one of the plurality of products;
- customizing the subset of the plurality of products in response to an input by the first user;
- and
- providing digital representations of the subset of the plurality of products for further customization by at least one second user different than the first user;
- receiving a selection of at least one product of the subset from at least one second user;
- and
- customizing the selected products in response to an input by the at least one second user.

A group customization server, adapted to:
- provide digital representations of a plurality of products available for selection by a first user;
- receive a selection of a subset of the plurality of products from the first user, the subset including at least one of the plurality of products;
- customize the subset of the plurality of products in response to an input by the first user;
- and
- provide digital representations of the subset of the plurality of products for further customization by at least one second user different than the first user.
An individual customization server, adapted to
- provide digital representations of a subset of a plurality of products, wherein the subset has previously been customized by:
- providing digital representations of a plurality of products available for selection by a first user;
- receiving a selection of a subset of the plurality of products from the first user, the subset including at least one of the plurality of products;
- customizing the subset of the plurality of products in response to an input by the first user;
- and
- providing digital representations of the subset of the plurality of products for further customization by at least one second user different than the first user;
- receive a selection of at least one product of the subset from at least one second user;
- and
- customize the selected products in response to an input by the at least one second user.
