Abstract
The present invention describes a process for the parallel selective hydrogenation of branched and unbranched multiply unsaturated C4-C6-hydrocarbons in olefin-containing hydrocarbon mixtures with minimization of hydrogenation and isomerization of the olefins present in the stream.
Claims17
A process, comprising:
- selectively hydrogenating an unbranched, multiply unsaturated C4-hydrocarbon and a branched, multiply unsaturated C5-hydrocarbon in a hydrocarbon mixture with addition of hydrogen and carbon monoxide in the presence of a heterogeneous hydrogenation catalysts catalyst in a hydrogenation reactor,
- wherein a ratio of the volume of a feed stream comprising the hydrocarbon mixture, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide into the hydrogenation reactor to the volume of the hydrogenation catalyst per hour of residence time is not more than 30 l/lh.
