Polyimide precursor composition and preparation method and use thereof

A polyimide precursor composition comprising (a) a polyimide precursor, and (b) a thermal base generator having the structure of formula (1):

• R1 and R2 are the same or different and are each independently H, linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl, linear or branched C1-C6 haloalkyl, or linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl substituted with one or more C6-C14 aryl,
• wherein
• R6 is linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl, linear or branched C1-C6 haloalkyl, linear or branched C1-C8 alkoxy unsubstituted or substituted with one or more C6-C14 aryl, or —NR10R11, and
• R7, R8, R9, R10 and R11 are the same or different, and are each independently H, linear or branched C1-C14 alkyl unsubstituted or substituted with one or more C6-C14 aryl, or C6-C14 aryl;
• R3, R4 and R5 are the same or different, and are each independently H, linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl unsubstituted or substituted with one or more C6-C14 aryl, linear or branched C1-C6 hydroxyalkyl, linear or branched C1-C6 cyanoalkyl, or C6-C14 aryl;
• and
• Y⊖ is an anionic group.
