Selectively Buffering Media In Response To A Session Disruption Within A Wireless Communications System

A communication entity, comprising:

• means for receiving, during a communication session, media to be transmitted in association with the communication session between first and second user equipments (UEs);
• means for detecting a session disruption during the communication session;
• means for recording, in response to the detection of the session disruption, the received media;
• means for detecting that the session disruption is no longer present;
• and
• means for transmitting, responsive to the detection that the session disruption is no longer present, the recorded media.

A communication entity, comprising:

• logic configured to receive, during a communication session, media to be transmitted in association with the communication session between first and second user equipments (UEs);
• logic configured to detect a session disruption during the communication session;
• logic configured to record, in response to the detection of the session disruption, the received media;
• logic configured to detect that the session disruption is no longer present;
• and
• logic configured to transmit, responsive to the detection that the session disruption is no longer present, the recorded media.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium containing instructions stored thereon, which, when executed by a communication entity, cause the communication entity to perform operations, the instructions comprising:

• program code to receive, during a communication session, media to be transmitted in association with the communication session between first and second user equipments (UEs);
• program code to detect a session disruption during the communication session;
• program code to record, in response to the detection of the session disruption, the received media;
• program code to detect that the session disruption is no longer present;
• and
• program code to transmit, responsive to the detection that the session disruption is no longer present, the recorded media.
