The invention relates to compositions comprising novel blends of nutritional ingredients and solid, semi-solid and beverage compositions comprising such blends. A nutritional composition, comprising trehalose and a peptide source or a stimulant selected from caffeine or taurine, wherein the average length of the peptide(s) is from about 3 to 9 amino acids.
