Abstract
Systems, methods, and apparatus to calibrate sounds fields are disclosed. An example device includes a location sensor receiving location data, a processor triangulating the position of a listener based on the location data, and an audio processing component generating a sound field with audio characteristics based on the position of the listener.
Claims20
An apparatus, comprising:
- one or more sensors to receive location data;
- a processor to track the position of a listener based on the location data;
- an audio processing component to generate a sound field having an audio characteristic, wherein the audio characteristic is to be adjusted by the processor based on the position of the listener.
A method, comprising:
- receiving first location data associated with a first zone player with a first sound field;
- receiving second location data associated with a second zone player with a second sound field, wherein the second zone player is different from the first zone player;
- triangulating a first listener distance associated with the first zone player;
- triangulating a second listener distance associated with the second zone player;
- and
- modifying the first sound field based on the first listener distance and the second sound field based on the second listener distance.
A computer readable medium storing instructions to execute a method, comprising:
- inputting location information gathered by a sensor;
- processing the location information and an inputted audio signal;
- outputting a sound field with adjusted acoustic characteristics based on the audio signal and the location information.
A computer readable medium as defined in claim 18, wherein the sensors are integrated in the multimedia playback device.
A computer readable medium as defined in claim 18, wherein the sensors are external to the multimedia playback device.
