Abstract
A message generating arrangement determines whether a first communication terminal of a communication system can participate, by means of packet-switching network elements of the communication system, in a communication link in which a second communication terminal of the communication system is participating by means of circuit-switching network elements of the communication system, and generates a message on the basis of the result of the determination.

A message generating arrangement of a communication system, comprising:
- a determining device configured to determine whether a first communication terminal of the communication system is
- configured to participate, by means of only packet-switching network elements of the communication system
- and not configured to participate by means of circuit-switching network elements of the communication system,
- in a communication link in which a second communication terminal of the communication system is configured to participate by means of circuit-switching network elements of the communication system;
- and
- a message generating device configured to generate, if it has been determined that the first communication terminal is configured to participate, by means of only packet-switching network elements, in a communication link in which the second communication terminal is configured to participate by means of circuit-switching network elements, a message comprising the information that the first communication terminal supports that a packet-switched communication link and a circuit-switched communication link can exist in parallel between the first communication terminal and the second communication terminal.

- configured to participate, by means of Internet Protocol Multimedia Sub-System (IMS) network elements of the communication system

- a determining device configured to determine, at a point of time when a first communication terminal of the communication system has not yet requested to set up a multimedia communication session, whether the first communication terminal of the communication system can participate, by means of only packet-switching network elements of the communication system, in a communication link in which a second communication terminal of the communication system can participate by means of circuit-switching network elements of the communication system;

- a message generating device configured to generate, if it has been determined that the first communication terminal can participate, by means of only the packet-switching network elements, in a communication link in which the second communication terminal can participate by means of the circuit-switching network elements, a message comprising the information that the first communication terminal supports that a packet-switched communication link and a circuit-switched communication link can exist in parallel between the first communication terminal and the second communication terminal.
A message generating arrangement of a communication system, comprising:
- a determining device configured to determine whether a first communication terminal of the communication system can participate, by means of packet-switching network elements of the communication system although the first communication terminal can currently not use any communication links by means of a circuit-switching network elements of the communication system, in a communication link in which a second communication terminal of the communication system is participating by means of circuit-switching network elements of the communication system;
- and
- a message generating device configured to generate, if it has been determined that the first communication terminal can participate, by means of only the packet-switching network elements, in a communication link in which the second communication terminal is participating by means of the circuit-switching network elements, a message comprising the information that the first communication terminal supports that a packet-switched communication link and a circuit-switched communication link can exist in parallel between the first communication terminal and the second communication terminal.
A message generating arrangement of a communication system, comprising:
- a determining device configured to determine whether a first communication terminal of the communication system can participate, by means of packet-switching network elements of the communication system, in a communication link in which a second communication terminal of the communication system is participating by means of circuit-switching network elements of the communication system, wherein the first communication terminal is currently not able to set up any communication links by means of the circuit-switching domain of the communication system;
- and
- a message generating device configured to generate, if it has been determined that the first communication terminal can participate, by means of only the packet-switching network elements, in a communication link in which the second communication terminal is participating by means of the circuit-switching network elements, a message comprising the information that the first communication terminal supports that a packet-switched communication link and a circuit-switched communication link can exist in parallel between the first communication terminal and the second communication terminal.
