## Abstract

In some implementations, a method for providing user-based context to a virtual workspace includes generating a first virtual workspace viewable by a user on a graphical user interface. The virtual workspace comprises a plurality of workspace modules comprising first data aggregated from one or more data objects. The aggregated data is determined to be semantically proximate aggregated data in a second virtual workspace. User annotations assigned to the semantically-proximate aggregated data are identified. The user annotations are presented in the first virtual workplace viewable by the user.

## Claims

generating a first virtual workspace viewable by a user on a graphical user interface, the virtual workspace comprising a plurality of workspace modules comprising first data aggregated from one or more data objects;
determining the aggregated data is semantically proximate aggregated data in a second virtual workspace;
identifying user annotations assigned to the semantically-proximate aggregated data; and
presenting the user annotations in the first virtual workplace viewable by the user.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the user comprising a first user, the second virtual workplace is viewable by the second user, and the user annotations generated by the second user.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein determining the aggregated data is semantically proximate aggregated data in the second virtual workspace comprises:
identifying a first filter used to generate the first aggregated data;
identifying a second filter used to generate the semantically-proximate aggregated data; and
determine the first filter defines a first range within a second range defined by the second filter.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the determining the aggregated data is semantically proximate aggregated data in a second virtual workspace is based on at least one of a filter, a dimension, or a measure assigned to the aggregated data.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein determining the aggregated data is semantically proximate aggregated data in a second virtual workspace comprises:
determining the aggregated data intersects the semantically proximate aggregated data;
determining a first amount of aggregated data assigned to annotated data and a second amount of aggregated data not annotated data; and
determining a threshold is satisfied based on at least one of the first amount or the second amount.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The method of claim 5, further comprising:
determining a total amount of aggregated data;
determining a ratio based on the first amount divided by the total amount or the second amount divided by the total amount; and
wherein determining the threshold is satisfied comprises determining that the ratio exceeds the threshold.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the annotation comprises at least one of a text note, a document, a picture, or a voice note.

### Claim 8

An apparatus comprising instructions embodied on a tangible, non-transitory computer-readable media, the instructions operable when executed to cause a computing system to perform operations comprising:
generating a first virtual workspace viewable by a user on a graphical user interface, the virtual workspace comprising a plurality of workspace modules comprising first data aggregated from one or more data objects;
determining the aggregated data is semantically proximate aggregated data in a second virtual workspace;
identifying user annotations assigned to the semantically-proximate aggregated data; and
presenting the user annotations in the first virtual workplace viewable by the user.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the user comprising a first user, the second virtual workplace is viewable by the second user, and the user annotations generated by the second user.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the operations comprising determining the aggregated data is semantically proximate aggregated data in the second virtual workspace comprises the operations comprising:
identifying a first filter used to generate the first aggregated data;
identifying a second filter used to generate the semantically-proximate aggregated data; and
determine the first filter defines a first range within a second range defined by the second filter.

### Claim 11 (depends on 8)

The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the determining the aggregated data is semantically proximate aggregated data in a second virtual workspace is based on at least one of a filter, a dimension, or a measure assigned to the aggregated data.

### Claim 12 (depends on 8)

The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the operations comprising determining the aggregated data is semantically proximate aggregated data in a second virtual workspace comprises the operations comprising:
determining the aggregated data intersects the semantically proximate aggregated data;
determining a first amount of aggregated data assigned to annotated data and a second amount of aggregated data not annotated data; and
determining a threshold is satisfied based on at least one of the first amount or the second amount.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The apparatus of claim 12, the operations further comprising:
determining a total amount of aggregated data;
determining a ratio based on the first amount divided by the total amount or the second amount divided by the total amount; and
wherein determining the threshold is satisfied comprises determining that the ratio exceeds the threshold.
