## Abstract

A water-in-oil emulsion adhesive, which is composed of an oil phase and a water phase, wherein the water phase comprises a water-soluble polymer that functions as an adhesive component, the oil phase comprises a non-aqueous polar solvent having an SP value of 8 to 12 (cal/cm3)1/2, and the oil phase comprises a resin that is solid at 30° C. and has an acid value of 10 or less, in an amount of 5 to 15% by mass relative to a total mass of the adhesive.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A water-in-oil emulsion adhesive, which is composed of an oil phase and a water phase, wherein
the water phase comprises a water-soluble polymer that functions as an adhesive component,
the oil phase comprises a non-aqueous polar solvent having an SP value of 8 to 12 (cal/cm3)1/2, and
the oil phase comprises a resin that is solid at 30° C. and has an acid value of 10 or less, in an amount of 5 to 15% by mass relative to a total mass of the adhesive.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The water-in-oil emulsion adhesive according to claim 1, wherein the non-aqueous polar solvent has an SP value of 8 to 9 (cal/cm3)1/2.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The water-in-oil emulsion adhesive according to claim 1, wherein the non-aqueous polar solvent comprises at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of aliphatic carboxylate esters containing 12 to 30 carbon atoms and alcohols containing 5 to 30 carbon atoms.

### Claim 4 (depends on 2)

The water-in-oil emulsion adhesive according to claim 2, wherein the non-aqueous polar solvent comprises an ester-based solvent.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The water-in-oil emulsion adhesive according to claim 1, wherein the amount of the water-soluble polymer is 3 to 30% by mass of the total mass of the adhesive.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The water-in-oil emulsion adhesive according to claim 1, wherein the amount of the non-aqueous polar solvent is at least 6% by mass of the total mass of the adhesive.
