A novel odorant of formula (I) wherein each of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9 and R10 are independently selected from H, CH3, and C2H5; X is selected from —CH2OH, —CH2OCOCH3 and —CHO and —CHO, n is selected from 0 and 1. The dotted line represents double bond or single bond.

A compound of formula (I)
wherein each of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9 and R10 are independently selected from H, CH3, and C2H5;
X is selected from —CH2OH, —CH2OCOCH3 and —CHO.
n is selected from 0 and 1
the dotted line represents double bond or single bond.

A perfumery composition comprising compound of formula (I) as defined in claim 1 and at least one ingredient selected from the group consisting of solvents, carriers, stabilizers, emulsifiers, moisturizers, dispersants, diluents, thickeners, thinners, other odorants, and adjuvants.
