## Abstract

A system includes a haptic textile comprising a plurality of haptic threads configured to provide haptic feedback, and an ancillary electronic device configured to transfer data to or from the haptic textile.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A system comprising:
a haptic textile comprising a plurality of haptic threads configured to provide haptic feedback; and
an ancillary electronic device configured to transfer data to or from the haptic textile.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system according to claim 1, wherein the ancillary electronic device is configured to transfer data via a wireless communications bus.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The system according to claim 1, wherein the ancillary electronic device is configured to transfer data via a conductive contact-based communications bus.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The system according to claim 1, wherein the ancillary electronic device is configured to be a wearable device.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The system according to claim 4, wherein the ancillary electronic device is configured to be worn on at least one portion of a body of a user selected from the group consisting of: an ear, a wrist, a neck, a chest, and a finger.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The system according to claim 1, wherein the ancillary electronic device is configured to be held in a pocket.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The system according to claim 6, wherein the ancillary electronic device is a cell phone.

### Claim 8

A method comprising:
transmitting information between a haptic textile comprising a plurality of haptic threads configured to provide haptic feedback and an ancillary electronic device.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein said transmitting is completed through a wireless communications network.

### Claim 10

A system comprising:
a haptic textile comprising a plurality of haptic threads configured to provide haptic feedback; and
an ancillary electronic device configured to transfer power to the haptic textile.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The system according to claim 10, wherein the ancillary electronic device is configured to transfer power via a wireless communications bus.

### Claim 12 (depends on 10)

The system according to claim 10, wherein the ancillary electronic device is configured to transfer power via a conductive contact-based communications bus.

### Claim 13 (depends on 10)

The system according to claim 10, wherein the ancillary electronic device is configured to be a wearable device.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The system according to claim 13, wherein the ancillary electronic device is configured to be worn on at least one portion of a body of a user selected from the group consisting of: an ear, a wrist, a neck, a chest, and a finger.

### Claim 15 (depends on 10)

The system according to claim 10, wherein the ancillary electronic device is configured to be held in a pocket.
