## Abstract

An alloy material for an R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet, including (i) an R-T-B-based alloy composed of R being two or more members selected from rare earth elements, T being a transition metal that essentially contains Fe, B and unavoidable impurities, and in which the Dy content is more than 10% by mass and less than 31% by mass, and (ii) a metal powder. Also disclosed is a method for producing an R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet and a motor provided with the R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An alloy material for an R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet composed of:
R being two or more members selected from rare earth elements;
T being a transition metal that essentially contains Fe;
B; and
unavoidable impurities, and
comprising: an R-T-B-based alloy in which the Dy content is more than 10% by mass and less than 31% by mass; and a metal powder.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The alloy material for the R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet according to claim 1, wherein the metal powder is one member, or two or more members selected from the group consisting of Fe, Al, Co, Mo, Ta, Zr and W.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The alloy material for the R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet according to claim 1, wherein the amount of the metal powder is 0.02% by mass or more and less than 6% by mass.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The alloy material for the R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet according to claim 1, wherein a powder composed of the R-T-B-based alloy and the metal powder is mixed to form a mixture thereof.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

A method for producing an R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet comprising: pressing an alloy material for the R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet according to claim 1; and sintering the alloy material.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

A motor provided with the R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet produced using the method for producing the R-T-B-based rare earth permanent magnet according to claim 5.
