## Abstract

A film-forming ink according to an embodiment of the invention includes a film-forming material; and a liquid medium which dissolves or disperses the film-forming material, in which the liquid medium contains an ether compound represented by Formula (I).

## Claims

### Claim 1

A film-forming ink comprising:
a film-forming material; and
a liquid medium which dissolves or disperses the film-forming material,
wherein the liquid medium contains an ether compound represented by Formula (I).
(In Formula (I), R1 and R2 each independently represent a linear alkyl group, a branched alkyl group, or a cyclic alkyl group which has 1 to 4 carbon atoms. R3 represents an alkylene group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms. In addition, n represents an integer of 0 to 4. In addition, when n is 2 or more, R3's may be the same as or different from each other.)

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The film-forming ink according to claim 1,
wherein the liquid medium has a surface tension of 35 dyn/cm2 or less.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The film-forming ink according to claim 1,
wherein in Formula (I), n represents 2 to 4.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The film-forming ink according to claim 3,
wherein in Formula (I), the number of carbon atoms in R3 is 2 or 3.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The film-forming ink according to claim 1,
wherein a content of the ether compound in the liquid medium is 0.1 wt % to 100 wt %.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The film-forming ink according to claim 1,
wherein the film-forming material contains a π-conjugated compound.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The film-forming ink according to claim 1,
wherein the film-forming material contains a metal complex.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The film-forming ink according to claim 1,
wherein the liquid medium contains an aromatic hydrocarbon compound in addition to the ether compound.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The film-forming ink according to claim 1,
wherein the film-forming material is soluble in a non-aqueous solvent.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The film-forming ink according to claim 9,
wherein the film-forming material is a material constituting an organic layer of an organic electroluminescence element, or a precursor thereof.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The film-forming ink according to claim 1, which is used for forming a film, formed of the film-forming material as the major component, by being applied to a substrate and removing the liquid solvent.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The film-forming ink according to claim 1, which is used for forming a film with a liquid droplet discharge method.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

A film-forming method comprising:
applying the film-forming ink according to claim 1 to a substrate; and
removing the liquid medium from the film-forming ink to form a film.

### Claim 14 (depends on 2)

A film-forming method comprising:
applying the film-forming ink according to claim 2 to a substrate; and
removing the liquid medium from the film-forming ink to form a film.

### Claim 15 (depends on 3)

A film-forming method comprising:
applying the film-forming ink according to claim 3 to a substrate; and
removing the liquid medium from the film-forming ink to form a film.

### Claim 16 (depends on 4)

A film-forming method comprising:
applying the film-forming ink according to claim 4 to a substrate; and
removing the liquid medium from the film-forming ink to form a film.

### Claim 17 (depends on 1)

A method of manufacturing a light emitting element comprising:
applying the film-forming ink according to claim 1 to a substrate; and
removing the liquid medium from the film-forming ink to form an organic layer.

### Claim 18 (depends on 17)

A light emitting element which is manufactured using the method of manufacturing a light emitting element according to claim 17.

### Claim 19 (depends on 17)

A light emitting device comprising
the light emitting element according to claim 17.

### Claim 20 (depends on 19)

An electronic apparatus comprising
the light emitting device according to claim 19.
