## Abstract

Feeding bottle (10) comprising a neck to which a teat (14) is attached, characterized in that it comprises at least two visual marks (20, 22) located on one and the same circumference near the neck or near the teat and separated from one another about the axis of the feeding bottle, one of these marks (20) defining one angular position of the feeding bottle (10) about its axis for which the other mark (22) indicates a point through which the free surface (24) of the liquid contained in the feeding bottle needs to pass in order for the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid at an outlet orifice (16) of the teat (14) to be substantially zero.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A feeding bottle system, comprising a feeding bottle with a neck; and further comprising at least two visual positioning marks located on a same circumference in the vicinity of the neck or of a nipple, and separated from one another around an axis of the feeding bottle; one of these marks being configured to be positioned in an angular position around the axis of the feeding bottle for which an inclination of the bottle allows the other mark to pass through a free surface of a liquid contained in the feeding bottle, in order for the free surface of the liquid to pass in the vicinity of an outlet orifice of a nipple mounted to the neck, such that the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid at the outlet orifice of the nipple is substantially zero.

### Claim 2

A feeding bottle system comprising:
a feeding bottle comprising a body, a central axis, and a neck configured for mounting a nipple thereto; and
at least two positioning marks, comprising:
a central mark, configured for orienting an angular position of the bottle around its central axis so that the central mark faces upwards during feeding; and
a side mark, configured in such a way as to guide a user to incline the bottle relative to the horizontal until an optimum inclination is reached where a free surface of a liquid inside the bottle simultaneously passes through both the side mark and an outlet orifice of a nipple mounted on the neck, thereby causing a hydrostatic pressure of the liquid, at the outlet orifice, to be substantially zero.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The feeding bottle system of claim 2, wherein the positioning marks are located on a same circumference in the vicinity of the neck or of a nipple mounted on the neck, and are separated from one another around the central axis of the feeding bottle.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The feeding bottle system of claim 4, wherein the curved component is transparent or substantially transparent.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The feeding bottle system of claim 5, wherein the curved component comprises a transparent nipple crown.

### Claim 7 (depends on 2)

The feeding bottle system of claim 2, further comprising a nipple crown for mounting a nipple to the neck of the feeding bottle; and wherein one or more of the positioning marks are formed or printed on the nipple crown.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The feeding bottle system of claim 7, further comprising a nipple mounted to the neck of the feeding bottle by the nipple crown.

### Claim 9 (depends on 2)

The feeding bottle system of claim 2, wherein one or more of the positioning marks are formed or printed on the neck or body of the feeding bottle.

### Claim 10 (depends on 2)

The feeding bottle system of claim 2, wherein one or more of the positioning marks are formed or printed on a crown or annular strip; wherein the crown or annular strip is rotatably mounted on a tightening ring.

### Claim 11 (depends on 8)

The feeding bottle system of claim 8, wherein one or more of the positioning marks are formed or printed on the nipple.

### Claim 12 (depends on 2)

The feeding bottle system of claim 2, further comprising a unidirectional air intake valve disposed in the body of the bottle; and wherein the valve forms the central mark for angular positioning of the feeding bottle around its central axis.

### Claim 13 (depends on 2)

The feeding bottle system of claim 2, comprising a second side mark that is paired with the first side mark; wherein the pair of side marks are mirror images of each other (when viewed along the central axis of the bottle), and they are symmetrically located on either side of a vertical reference line passing through the central mark.

### Claim 14 (depends on 2)

The feeding bottle system of claim 2, wherein an angular separation between the central mark and a side mark ranges from 30 to 60 degrees.

### Claim 15 (depends on 7)

The feeding bottle system of claim 7, wherein the nipple crown comprises a central mark disposed on the nipple crown (defining a vertical reference line passing through the central mark); and further wherein the nipple crown comprises three pairs of side positioning marks (22, 22′, and 22″) disposed on at least a side face of the nipple crown; and wherein the side marks are also mirrored symmetrically across the vertical reference line on an opposite side of the nipple crown; and further wherein: the first side mark 22 comprises a single line or bump/ridge; the second side mark 22′ comprises two, closely-spaced parallel lines or bumps/ridges; and the third side mark 22″ comprises three, closely-spaced parallel lines or bumps/ridges.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

The feeding bottle system of claim 15, further comprising the label “100%” printed on the nipple crown next to the first side mark; the label “50%” printed on the nipple crown next to the second side mark; and the label “25%” printed on the nipple crown next to the third side mark.

### Claim 17 (depends on 15)

The feeding bottle system of claim 15, wherein the second side mark is located at an angular separation between the central mark and the second side mark of approximately 45 degrees.

### Claim 18 (depends on 15)

The feeding bottle system of claim 15, wherein each side positioning mark comprises one or more lines or bumps/ridges that are printed or formed on both the side and front faces of the nipple crown, and each line or bump/ridge wraps-around the side and front faces of the nipple crown in a continuous manner.

### Claim 19 (depends on 2)
