Abstract
The invention relates to a distillation apparatus, in particular a distillation apparatus configured as a piece of laboratory equipment, having a distillation vessel for receiving a mixture to be distilled, wherein a removal device is provided which is configured for the automated removal of a distillation residue from the distillation vessel.

A distillation apparatus having a distillation vessel (11) for receiving a mixture to be distilled, wherein a removal device (51, 53) is provided which is configured for the automated removal of a distillation residue from the distillation vessel (11).
A method of distilling a mixture located in a distillation vessel (11), comprising the step of removing a distillation residue from the distillation vessel (11) in an automated manner.
