## Abstract

An aquatic vegetation cutter adaptable to a bow of a vessel having rotatable, cultivator-type cutter disks on converging angles along each side of the bow, and extending partially below the water line. Smaller ancillary cutter disks are mounted to the leading face of the larger cultivator-type cutter disks. The larger cutter disks and smaller ancillary cutter disks are driven using at least one drive motor, a series of drive sprockets and a connecting drive chain.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A cutting apparatus mounted to a vessel for cutting aquatic vegetation thereby opening a path for a vessel to pass comprising:
a) a first cutting disk mounted to said vessel, wherein said first cutting disk is rotatable about its central axis;
b) a second cutting disk mounted to said vessel, wherein said second cutting disk is rotatable about its central axis, and said first and second cutting disks are juxtaposed at oblique angles to each other;
c) at least one ancillary cuffing disk mounted to said first or second cutting disk, wherein said at least one ancillary cutting disk is rotatable about it central axis.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A cutting apparatus according to claim 1 wherein said disks further comprise a plurality of triangular serrated teeth, spaced around the periphery of said disks.
