Abstract
A method for manufacturing floor panels, wherein boards of laminate material are formed by means of a press treatment and wherein these boards are divided into several panels, from which the actual floor panels are formed. In a press treatment of the method, at least one impression is provided in the board, which at least is employed as a guiding groove for guiding the aforementioned board or the subsequently obtained panels in further treatments.
Claims33
A Floor panel having a core and at least two opposite edges, wherein said two opposite edges are provided with respective profiled edge areas comprising
- coupling parts substantially forming a tongue and a groove limited in downward direction by a lower lip, the coupling parts, in a coupled condition of two of such floor panels, lock in a vertical direction;
- locking parts, which, in a coupled condition of two of such floor panels, lock in a horizontal direction;
- wherein said coupling parts and said locking parts are arranged to couple two floor panels by bringing the floor panels towards each other with a substantially vertical movement, and wherein said coupling parts define overlapping contours.
A floor panel having a core and at least two opposite edges, wherein said two opposite edges are provided with respective profiled edge areas comprising
- coupling parts substantially forming a tongue and a groove limited in downward direction by a lower lip, wherein said coupling parts, in a coupled condition of two of such floor panels, lock in a vertical direction;
- locking parts, which, in a coupled condition of two of such floor panels lock in horizontal direction;
- wherein said coupling parts and said locking parts are arranged to couple two floor panels by bringing the floor panels towards each other with a substantially vertical movement,
- and wherein said coupling parts and said locking parts are arranged to couple two floor panels by turning the floor panels into each other along said two edges.
A method for packaging floor panels having a rectangular oblong shape and that are adapted to form a floor covering, comprising the steps of:
- industrially making said floor panels in at least two widths with coupling parts on at least two opposite side edges of the panels;
- packaging said floor panels of different widths in the same package;
- placing the floor panels in the package in layers such that in at least one of the layers at least two floor panels are placed next to each other with their longitudinal directions substantially parallel to each other.
