Abstract
The present invention is directed to a novel fragrance compound of octahydro-4,7-methano-1H-indene-5-acetaldehyde, octahydro-6-methyl-4,7-methano-1H-indene-5-carboxaldehyde, or a mixture thereof.
Claims16
A compound selected from the group consisting of octahydro-4,7-methano-1H-indene-5-acetaldehyde, octahydro-6-methyl-4,7-methano-1H-indene-5-carboxaldehyde, and a mixture thereof.
A fragrance formulation containing an olfactory acceptable amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of octahydro-4,7-methano-1H-indene-5-acetaldehyde, octahydro-6-methyl-4,7-methano-1H-indene-5-carboxaldehyde, and a mixture thereof.
A method of improving, enhancing or modifying a fragrance formulation through the addition of an olfactory acceptable amount of a compound selected from the group consisting of octahydro-4,7-methano-1H-indene-5-acetaldehyde, octahydro-6-methyl-4,7-methano-1H-indene-5-carboxaldehyde, and a mixture thereof.
