Abstract
A method and apparatus for a search function are provided in a touch-sensitive device that supports a search for contents in a list view by using a dedicated keypad displayed in the list view. In the method, the apparatus displays the dedicated keyboard for a content search in the list view, and performs the content search in the list view in response to an interaction inputted on the dedicated keyboard. The apparatus then displays at least one execution item associated with at least one found content, and executes the content associated with a selected one among the at least one execution item.
Claims28
A method for providing a search function in a touch-sensitive device, the method comprising:
- displaying an application list;
- displaying a dedicated keyboard for an application search in application list in response to a user request;
- detecting an interaction from a specific button of the dedicated keyboard;
- searching application corresponding to the specific button from which the interaction is detected;
- displaying at least one execution item corresponding to at least one searched application;
- and
- executing the application associated with an execution item selected by an execution interaction in the at least one execution item.
A method for providing a search function in a touch-sensitive device, the method comprising:
- displaying a list view;
- displaying a dedicated keyboard, which is used for performing a content search in the list view in response to a user request;
- detecting an interaction from a specific button of the dedicated keyboard;
- searching contents corresponding to the specific button from which the interaction is detected;
- displaying at least one execution item of at least one found content through a pop-up window on the specific button;
- and
- executing the content of a selected one of the at least one execution item in response to an execution interaction.
A method for providing a search function in a touch-sensitive device, the method comprising:
- displaying a list view;
- displaying a dedicated keyboard, which is used for performing a content search in the list view in response to a user request;
- outputting an execution item of content mapped with at least one button of the dedicated keyboard;
- detecting an interaction from the button on which the execution item is outputted;
- and
- executing the content corresponding to the execution item of the button in response to the interaction.
A touch-sensitive device supporting a function of content search, the device comprising:
- a display unit configured to display a list view, to display a dedicated keyboard, which is used for performing a content search in the list view, and to display search results based on the dedicated keyboard through a pop-up window;
- a touch detection unit configured to detect an interaction inputted on the dedicated keyboard provided through the list view;
- and
- a control unit configured to search contents in the list view in response to the interaction, to control a display of at least one execution item associated with at least one found content through the pop-up window, and to control an execution of the content associated with a selected one of the at least one execution item.
