Device management system, device management method, and computer program product

A device management system that manages one or more devices connected thereto through a network, the device management e comprising:

• a receiving unit that receives device identifying information for identifying a managed device, amongst the one or more devices, and setting information containing one or more set values to be set in the managed device:
• a transmitting unit that transmits he device identifying information and the setting information to the managed device;
• and
• a collecting unit that controls, when setting of the set values in the managed device has not been completed, a time to collect a set result of a process to set the set values, from the managed device, based on a predicted time to complete the setting of the set values.

A device management device that manages one or more devices connected thereto through a network, the device management device comprising:

• a receiving unit that receives device identifying information for identifying a managed device, amongst the one or more devices, and setting information containing one or more set values to be set in the managed device;
• a transmitting unit that transmits the device identifying information and the setting information to the managed device;
• and
• a collecting unit that controls, when setting of the set values in the managed device has not been completed, a time to collect a set result of a process to set the set values, from the managed device, based on a predicted time to complete the setting of the set values.

A device management method by a computer for managing one or more devices connected thereto through a network, the device management method comprising:

• receiving device identifying information for identifying a managed device, amongst the one or more devices, and setting information containing one or more set values to be set in the managed device;
• transmitting the device identifying information and the setting information to the managed device;
• and
• controlling, when setting of the set values by the managed device has not been completed, a time to collect a set result of a process to set the set values, from the managed device, based on a predicted time to complete the setting of the set values.
