An audio processing device comprising:
- a network interface configured to connect the audio processing device to a network;
- a control module configured to receive control input from a user interface module interface and to configure the audio processing device, based on the received control input, to provide audio information to two or more audio playback devices;
- an audio information channelization device connected to the network interface configured to receive the audio information and to transmit the audio information and playback timing information in packet form via the network interface to the two or more audio playback devices.
A tangible computer-readable memory having instructions stored thereon that when executed cause a device to:
- process audio information received via a network interface;
- receive control input from a user interface module interface and configure the device, based on the received control input, to transmit audio information to two or more playback devices;
- and,
- generate packets containing the audio information and playback timing information and transmit the packets to the two or more audio playback devices.
A method comprising:
- receiving audio information via a network interface;
- receiving control input from a user interface module interface and configuring a device, based on the received control input, to transmit audio information to two or more playback devices;
- and,
- transmitting the audio information and playback timing information to the two or more audio playback devices.
