Method and system for customizing a web site

A method implemented on a machine having at least one processor, storage, and a communication platform connected to a network for customizing a web, comprising:

• providing a web site having one or more customizable components, where the web site is to he displayed on a display screen to a user with the one or more customizable components capable of being customized by a user;
• sending information associated with the one or more customizable components;
• receiving an instruction generated based on an input entered by the user, wherein the instruction is directed to a specific customizable component of the web site;
• and
• rendering the web site on the display screen to the user in accordance with the instruction so that the specific customizable component is customized based on the input from the user, wherein
• the input from the user specifies a desired customization with respect to the specific customizable component and is used to determine how to generate the instruction, and
• the instruction is to be used to implement the customization of the specific customizable component in accordance with the user's input.

A system for customizing a web site, comprising:

• a user input analyzer configured to:
• provide one or more representations corresponding to one or more customizable components of a web site, wherein the one or more representations are to be displayed on a display screen to a user;
• receive an input entered by the user and directed to a specific customizable component of the web site;
• and
• determine how to customize the specific customizable component of the web site based on the input;
• and
• a customizing instruction generator configured to generate an instruction with respect to the customizable component, wherein the instruction is used to implement customization of the specific customizable component of the web site in accordance with the input from the user.

A machine-readable tangible and non-transitory medium having information for customizing a web site in a distributed system recorded thereon, wherein the information, when read by the machine, causes the machine to perform the following:

• providing one or more representations corresponding to one or more customizable components of a web site, where the one or more representations are to be displayed on a display screen to a user;
• receiving an input entered by the user and directed to a specific customizable component of the web site;
• determining how to customize the specific customizable component of the web site based on the input;
• and
• generating an instruction with respect to the customizable component, wherein the instruction is used to implement customization of the specific customizable component of the web site in accordance with the input from the user.
