Time-series data diagnosing/compressing method

A time-series data diagnosing/compressing method comprising the steps of:

• storing time-series data gathered from one or more sensors provided on equipment in a storage and carrying out a predicted-abnormality-evidence diagnosis on the data at the same time;
• computing an allowable error of the data by making use of a result of the diagnosis;
• storing the computed allowable error in a storage;
• reading out the data and the allowable error from the storages;
• compressing the data read out from the storage with data compressing means;
• and
• storing the compressed data in a storage.

A data gathering/diagnosing/storing system comprising

• data transmission means serving as first configuration means having data transmitting/receiving means for receiving time-series data from one or more sensors provided in equipment through a first transmission line and outputting the data to a second transmission line;
• and
• a server computer serving as second configuration means having:
• data transmitting/receiving means for receiving the data output by the data transmission means through the second transmission line;
• data gathering/compressing means for diagnosing and compressing the received data;
• data compressing/decompressing means for compressing and decompressing data output by the data gathering/compressing means;
• data storing means for storing data compressed by the data compressing/decompressing means;
• detailed-diagnosis means for carrying out a detailed diagnosis on data output by the data compressing/decompressing means as a result of decompression of the compressed data stored in the data storing means;
• and
• an operation/display section for displaying an output from the data gathering/compressing means or an output from the detailed-diagnosis means and for operating information set for the data gathering/compressing means or the detailed-diagnosis means.
