Abstract
A payment message is received from a buyer relating to a transaction with a merchant. The payment message is parsed to obtain merchant identifying information, and further parsed to obtain at least some payment information for the transaction. The payment information is submitted to a third party settlement processor on behalf of the merchant. The results of the transaction are reported to at least one of the merchant and the buyer.
Claims21
A method, comprising:
- receiving a payment message from a buyer relating to a transaction with a merchant;
- parsing, in a computing device the payment message to obtain merchant identifying information;
- further parsing the payment message to obtain at least some payment information for the transaction;
- submitting the payment information to a third party settlement processor on behalf of the merchant;
- and
- reporting results of the transaction to at least one of the merchant and the buyer.
A computer-readable medium having thereon instructions executable by a computer processor, the instructions comprising instructions for:
- receiving a payment message from a buyer relating to a transaction with a merchant;
- parsing the payment message to obtain merchant identifying information;
- further parsing the payment message to obtain at least some payment information for the transaction;
- submitting the payment information to a third party settlement processor on behalf of the merchant;
- and
- reporting results of the transaction to at least one of the merchant and the buyer.
An apparatus, comprising a computing device having a processor and a memory, the memory storing instructions executable by the processor such that the apparatus is configured to:
- receive a payment message from a buyer relating to a transaction with a merchant;
- parse the payment message to obtain merchant identifying information;
- further parse the payment message to obtain at least some payment information for the transaction;
- submit the payment information to a third party settlement processor on behalf of the merchant;
- and
- report results of the transaction to at least one of the merchant and the buyer.
