Abstract
The present invention discloses a method, apparatus and computer program product for determining the location of a plurality of speech sources in an area of interest, comprising performing an algorithm on a signal issued by either one of said plurality of speech sources in the area to for iteratively recover data characteristic to said signal, wherein the algorithm is an iterative model-based sparse recovery algorithm, and wherein for each of a plurality of points in said area, the iteratively recovered data is indicative of a presence of a plurality of speech sources contributing to the signal received at each of a plurality of points in the area.
Claims15
A method for determining the location of a plurality of speech sources in an area, comprising:
- performing an algorithm on a signal issued by either one of said plurality of speech sources in the area to iteratively recover data characteristic to said signal,
- wherein said algorithm is an iterative model-based sparse recovery algorithm;
- and
- wherein for each of a plurality of points in said area, said iteratively recovered data is indicative of a presence of a plurality of speech sources contributing to said signal received at said each of a plurality of points in said area.
The method of claim 12, wherein the degrees of freedom of the sparse signal within a block configuration are limited, and wherein the structure of a block comprises either adjacent frequencies or harmonics of fundamental frequency.
A system for determining the location of a plurality of speech sources in an area, comprising:
- at least a data bus system,
- a memory coupled to the data bus system,
- wherein the memory comprises computer usable program code, and
- a processing unit coupled to the data bus system,
- wherein the processing unit executes the computer usable program code to perform an algorithm on a signal issued by either one of said plurality of speech sources in the area to iteratively recover data characteristic to said signal,
- wherein said algorithm is an iterative model-based sparse recovery algorithm;
- and
- wherein for each of a plurality of points in said area, said iteratively recovered data is indicative of a presence of a plurality of speech sources contributing to said signal received at said each of a plurality of points in said area.
A computer program product for determining the location of a plurality of speech sources in an area of interest, comprising:
- a tangible computer usable medium including computer usable program code for determining the location of a plurality of speech sources in an area of interest, the computer usable program code being used for
- performing an algorithm on a signal issued by either one of said plurality of speech sources in the area to iteratively recover data characteristic to said signal,
- wherein said algorithm is an iterative model-based sparse recovery algorithm;
- and
- wherein for each of a plurality of points in said area, said iteratively recovered data is indicative of presence of a plurality of speech sources contributing to said signal received at said each of a plurality of points in said area.
