Abstract
Compositions and methods to treat prostate cancer with the compound camalexin and its structural analogs. Camalexin increases ROS production and decreases the proliferation of prostate cancer cells, especially aggressive prostate cancer cells.

A method of treating prostate cancer comprising administering a therapeutically effective dose of camalexin.
A method of decreasing the viability of prostate cancer cells comprising contacting the cells with an effective amount of camalexin.
A method of increasing ROS production in prostate cancer cells by exposing them to an effective amount of camalexin.
