Abstract
A system and method in accordance with exemplary embodiments may include an attachment with a near field communication antenna, a secure element, a plug capable of connecting the attachment to an audio jack on a mobile device. Further, a system and method in accordance with exemplary embodiments may include receiving a payment initiation instruction from a customer, using a near field communication antenna, sending payment information to a point of sale device, using one or more computer processors, encoding data related to the payment as audio data, and transmitting the data related to the payment through an audio jack.

A contactless payment attachment, comprising:
- a near field communication antenna;
- a secure element;
- and
- a plug capable of connecting the attachment to an audio jack on a mobile device.
A method for initializing an attachment, comprising the steps of:
- receiving a secure element provisioning signal from a trusted service manager;
- using one or more computer processors, sending at least one provisioning instruction through an audio jack to the attachment;
- and
- binding the attachment to at least one device.
A method of providing contactless payment, comprising the steps of:
- receiving, at a computer processor, a payment initiation instruction from a customer;
- and
- using a near field communication antenna, sending payment information to a point of sale device;
- using one or more computer processors, encoding data related to the payment as audio data;
- and
- transmitting the data related to the payment through an audio jack.
A method of providing data exchange, comprising the steps of:
- using a near field communication antenna, sending outgoing data to a device;
- using the near field communication antenna, receiving incoming data from a device;
- using one or more computer processors, encoding one of the incoming or outgoing data as audio data;
- and
- transmitting the audio data through an audio jack.
A method of providing data exchange, comprising the steps of:
- using a near field communication antenna, sending at least one piece of data to an RFID tag reader;
- using one or more computer processors, encoding one or more pieces of data related to the data sent to the RFID tag reader;
- and
- transmitting the data through an audio jack.
A method of providing data exchange, comprising the steps of:
- using a near field communication antenna, receiving at least one piece of data from an RFID tag;
- using one or more computer processors, encoding one or more pieces of data related to the data received from the RFID tag reader;
- and
- transmitting the data through an audio jack.
A method of providing a contactless transaction, comprising the steps of:
- using one or more computer processors, receiving at least one activation signal;
- transmitting transaction information through a near field communication antenna;
- and
- using one or more electronic displays, displaying information to a user about the transaction.
